Most people have several life-long special interest subjects. Call them hobbies, specialties, whatever… a lifetime spent learning all you can about such fascinations results in a high level of expertise in these areas. In other words, you become an expert.

For some it’s birding. For others, it’s music. It could be as popular a topic as computer graphics or as esoteric as tatting.

These special interests define who you are as surely as do your professional experiences. Sometimes more so if you’re working a job just because it brings in enough money to allow you to follow your interest on your off-hours.
